Day 1: Tunis – Hammamet

  • Arrival at Tunis airport, assistance, and transfer to Hammamet.
  • Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Hammamet – Thuburbo Majus – Testour – Dougga (UNESCO) – Hammamet

  • Visit the archaeological site of Thuburbo Majus.

  • Visit the Andalusian town of Testour.

  • Lunch in Dougga.

  • Guided tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Dougga.

  • Return to Hammamet. Overnight stay.

 

Day 3: Hammamet – Kairouan (UNESCO) – Tozeur 

  • Visit the Aghlabid Basins.

  • Visit the Mausoleum of Sidi Saheb.

  • Visit the Great Mosque of Kairouan (UNESCO).

  • Lunch included.

  • Visit the Medina of Tozeur.

  • Overnight stay in Tozeur.

 

Day 4: Chebika – Tamerza – Ong Jemel (4x4) – Nefta – Tozeur

  • Excursion by 4x4 to the mountain oases of Chebika and Tamerza.

  • Visit the Star Wars filming site of Ong Jemel.

  • Lunch included.

  • Visit Nefta and a traditional brick factory.

  • Optional: carriage ride through the oasis of Tozeur.

  • Overnight stay in Tozeur.

 

Day 5: Tozeur – Chott El Jerid – Douz

  • Crossing of the salt lake Chott El Jerid.

  • Visit the local market of Douz.

  • Lunch included.

  • Visit the Sahara Museum and the town market of Douz.

  • Optional: camel or quad ride in the Sahara dunes.

  • Dinner and overnight in desert camp under tents.

 

Day 6: Douz – Matmata – El Jem (UNESCO) – Hammamet

  • Visit a troglodyte house in the Berber village of Matmata.

  • Lunch included.

  • Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Amphitheatre of El Jem.

  • Overnight stay in Hammamet.

 Day 7: Hammamet – Tunis – Carthage (UNESCO) – Sidi Bou Said

  • Visit the Bardo Museum and the Medina of Tunis.

  • Lunch in La Goulette.

  • Visit the archaeological site of Carthage (UNESCO).

  • Visit the blue-and-white village of Sidi Bou Said.

  • Overnight stay in Hammamet.

 

Day 8: Departure

  • Breakfast, transfer to the airport, and departure assistance.
